Imagine how small the drive would be if it just had 'things I might ever watch'. The size for 100% isn't even that big given a few iterations of storage tech. I'm just blown away by how little Netflix really gives you.

I'm probably wrong here, but it seems to me that storage is practically cheap enough (not quite) that Netflix could simply send out a drive with their whole library and then a membership gives you access codes. Send out a new drive per

It seems to me that content neutral (neutrality? neutralness?) and copyright violations are there in order to build eyeballs and brand. You use them for growth. Once the size is there, you curate. Profit becomes the issue and the tendenc

I wonder if AIs are good at distinguishing individual gorillas, etc. I'd never really thought about the problem of classification being harder (perhaps) than identification if you see what I mean.

I can't say that I think of ten year old stuff as being particularly old. I've got the normal pile of early Thinkpads and a couple of cheap desktops but don't lust after them, it's just that new is too expensive (plus, s

It would be great if someone from Apple spilled the beans on what actually went down. No doubt the Apple Internal Affairs Department would be all over that. It would be a good test for Apple Privacy(tm).
