According to the FAQ there is a prototype implementation of it in one of the clients, and apparently once that stabilizes they will standardize it on other clients. Looks like it’s a work in progress, not an oversight

If you’re on windows you can use AutoHotKey to map a key or key combination of your choice to route to the spacebar in zoom, regardless of focus. I’ve done something similar for media control for apps that don’t have global hotkeys.

Nope, and that’s the biggest blocker for me. I own multiple smart phones (work and personal), iPad, and two computers (windows and Mac). So far Facebook messenger is the only reliable way to do messaging across all of them, which is a shame

I believe you only get special audio with paired to an iOS device which also includes an accelerometer. So basically iPad and iPhone. Any third-party devices don’t get special audio, as far as I’m aware.
