I think the parent took the literal answer of “no” to be a bit terse, depends on how you read that example conversation. I doubt anyone is arguing it’s actually rude to refuse to provide a phone number, just to not be snarky when doing so.

I’ve been in plenty of stupid big SUV’s with air conditioning blasting in the summer while in China. Big SUV’s are a status symbol and China summers are horrendously hot. That being said I’m much more concerned with trash burning (it still

I’d also love to have more details on this. I currently use Google Fi on my phone and laptop when in China, that’s the only way I’m able to be productive. If there are limitations on this or it’s a short term solution, that will affect my f

I used to work for an ecommerce site that sold the Numi toilet (gen 1), and it's amazing how many people shell out $8000 for a creepy automated toilet. I agree it's silly, but there is apparently a market.

I lost 50lbs a few years ago. Walking was a great gateway drug for exercise since I really hated the idea of exercise and sweating, plus I felt so awkward and out of place going to a gym. It always felt like everyone at the gym was staring

There’s so much weird stuff at CES, but I feel like it’s almost Darwinian. 90% of it is crap but sometimes the zany stuff works. I’d recommend people in the tech world attend at least once just to see the intensity of it all. It’s free if
