Scala is as complex as you want it to be. You're welcome to use it as cleaner Java and it will work well for this. You're equally welcome to make use of more advanced features. You're also welcome to go nuts and use all the f

Indeed. I suspect the reason a lot of people don't seem to refactor their code is because they would have to do so semi-manually with whatever hip-but-feature-bereft editor they've sworn allegiance to.

We're not just Mac users. Electron apps are bloated ick but I guess at least Electron is equally repulsive on all OSes.

Thanks to this comment I actually read the blog post. It was relatively good, although I began to suspect it was GPT3 generated about halfway through (partially because the style felt a bit stiff but also just out of a shayamalan-what-a-twi

If all you need is a simple CRUD app then Django Admin + your model definitions is literally all you need. In my experience, that's a 4 to 8 hour project. Oh, and runs against a real database.

I too use a single 1080p monitor. I find that, for me, the benefits of multiple monitors aren't really there. I tried it for a while but I find virtual desktops cover my multi-tasking needs just fine. When I had multiple displays the c
