Large mouse pads. Growing up playing first person shooters has wired my mind to a degree that it's difficult to overcome the muscle memory. This makes mouse acceleration terribly frustrating. Fortunately, using a track pad with mouse a

Considering what an average (casual) climber can achieve in a lifetime the hardest moves on the route would be very difficult but doable. But the route as a whole is probably out of reach, it requires a tremendous amount of endurance. For a

Asking the real questions! But on a more serious note, I find that I'm able to push myself significantly harder when I am able to get myself into the right mental state. This may look like hyping myself up before working out or working

With a DSP core it often gets even better, the bit shift might be free. Say you have the instruction ACC = ACC + P << PM, that could compile to a single instruction, if you're not writing assembly directly. Additionally if you&#x

I'm somewhat unfamiliar with the problem, do you think you could explain why this is bad? Or maybe just point me in the right direction? Thanks!

The keyboard on the 9510 is not the same part number as on the 9500 but the layout is the same. The only difference I remember is that the power button / fingerprint reader on the 9510 can be pressed, otherwise the layout is the same.

Slightly off topic, how'd you get used to the Cmd key? I've tried but I hate it. It's like I'm doing yoga with my hands, bending my thumb while reaching over it with my index finger. The ctrl key tethering my pinky gives

The global menu was a reasonable idea for its time. It seems it's main selling points are that it's easy to find and requires less precision with a pointing device. It seems to work well when you have one, maybe two windows open.

It becomes a bit of a transport density problem. A semi does not take up much more room than the cargo it's transporting (if fully packed) but a blimp needs to be significantly larger to carry the same amount. They're big, slow, a

ITAR restrictions come to mind but I'm not sure if they're the same. For example, if I were to produce a gyroscope with sufficient accuracy the U.S. government can legally prevent me from selling it to foreign entities. Sure my pr

Hm, never thought of it like that. I was caught off guard by the change when it was implemented, and was frankly quite annoyed. My suspicions were the same as the author's, that the reasons were likely insincere. But I never made the l

Yup, most MOSFETs will have no trouble running at 125C! The power supplies in some of our products occasionally run at 180C, without heat-sinking. But these aren't designed to last as long as a motherboard VRM. In general cooler is bet

As far as I understand it, you cannot re-sell (rent) processing time on a gaming card from Nvidia for machine learning tasks. This is why you don't see Google and Amazon offering virtual machines with gaming cards. However if you'

Maybe don't discount the Technion so easily. All of the professors are fluent in English as is most of the student body. There are many graduate students who start studying there without knowing Hebrew.

Oh, that makes more sense! 4 * 300V * 2.3A = 2.76kW It looks like it's totally doable with those cables! But if they're running 300V DC through there... may as well just run 120Vac. The only benefit I see is that they can detect f
