Nice article, played with Icecast in the past, good to learn about LibreTime which uses it.

I also find it much faster than Reddit's own image/video hosting.

Interesting, I can see 10TB for € 47.88, even less if you don't pay VAT (20%)

I was often fighting the worms in autumn to eat quince as a kid, they are more than edible. Quince preserve is one of my favourites, so good!

Used qmail a lot and would use it again if modernised a bit. Vpopmail was great, too for managing users, hope it'll still work.

Nobody will say that. Plus, it was a very specific set of conditions and circumstances that led to Hong Kong being what it is, leading to the present days. You can't just transplant it.

How do you know? And even if it doesn't for starters, there's no telling it'll stay that way. Very legitimate concern.

Bit of a letdown really, I've been waiting since forever for an Android browser and now they come up with this "selected ads" thing.. I don't think they are serious.

It'd better be! :-D Lesson no 1: don't use shared web hosting. Though looks more like Dreamhost removed a site that was hogging down a whole server thanks to HN.

That's a nice bit of trivia! Had no idea Twitter started on Virtualmin at Joyent.

I fondly remember Joyent as one of the first companies to do Ruby on Rails hosting right. They were using a combo of FreeBSD, Virtualmin, Apache (proxying to mongrel etc). Fun times!

I'm claiming I don't believe them. They could write on their page whatever they see fit and do a completely different thing internally.

DoH in itself is not sneaky, no more than ping is. The push to centralise DNS resolution in the hands of a few questionable actors is and this is what is happening. Cloudflare for example would absolutely love to know what you're up to

There is a clear and definite trend of taking DNS out of the user's control, see all the hype with DNS over HTTPS etc etc. Firefox is working on using DoH (opt-in at the beginning, but who knows) from "select" providers. Chro
