Is the server using udimms or rdimms? With rdimms the additional memory controller load from more dimms isn't nearly as much as with udimms

The LM escaping shouldn't be an issue with silicone over the on-package capacitors and foam around it. If you aren't throttling I wouldn't really bother. If you do end up attempting it removing the LM is easier with a syringe

There hasn't been anything official but there were rumors about some reviewers got unexpectedly bad performance that AMD narrowed down to bad packaging for the SOC die. If it is the SOC it doesn't have anything to do with pushing

I'm trying Fedora as my 3rd distro after pop os and mint right now, and scaling is a constant issue on 4k+1080 secondary, while on Windows it just works straight away after display drivers are installed
