Thank you! It's amazing to see so much work going into tools like this :) I am a huge fan of AST and AST based tools. I think there is so much to explore in this space.

I've been tinkering with an AST based grep tool. (It only works for JS/TS right now). It allows you to search for code in a more free-form way and I hope better code-searching tools like this can come out. Because searching by str

I made a small utility to help me search for JS code better. It's called @nikhilverma/ast-grep. It works really well for my use case but I hope to polish it more and release it more widely. npx @nikhilverma/ast-grep '{ m

Very much appreciate boilerplate tools, they often come with sane defaults and avoid configuration hell when you just want to get started. I just wish there was some easy way to version them, so you can migrate from an older boilerplate to

I am personally not sure about the impact of this. I am hoping it will bring some positive change, Indians do have a habit of hoarding huge amounts of cash. It's not something specific to "black money hoarders". Anyway I pity

There is this ancient Indian story about Krishna washing the feet of his devotee and then drinking the water. So this thing is not alien to the Indian culture. But I'll not be surprised if this still happens in some rural parts of Indi

It's very strange to me, any one of the cons from 3-6 will make me avoid a framework. Do you think the pros of the framework outweigh these serious cons?

At Badoo we use them to have a unified API for all of our platforms (Web, Mobile Web, Android, iOS, Windows Phone etc). This would not have been possible without something like ProtoBuf.

That's a silly argument to make. It's just not easy to setup a donation system as easily, if sites I visit had an option for easy microtransactions many people would do it in a heartbeat.
