What is an example of something you would use that feature for?

by NickBusey 10y ago
Well for one I do use the Caffeine feature that is shown in the section of the Getting Started guide I linked to. That replaced the actual Caffeine app. I have a timer running reminding me to take breaks every so often, that replaced Time O

I'll be that guy on this thread that points out Hammerspoon. It's an OS X automation tool that replaces pretty much every OS X 'tweak' style application out there. http://www.hammerspoon.org/go/#simp

Don't need to terraform the whole planet just to have nice spaces to go for a walk in 'the forest'. I'd imagine a football stadium sized space could fit that purpose pretty well, at least for starters.

So, while no one can actually claim the land, if they land a bunch of habitat shaped 'space objects' on the surface, it is still under the jurisdiction of the country that launched them. Sounds like a loophole? "We don't

Was hoping I'd find someone recommending Workflowy. It currently does everything except calendar dates/notifications, which I'm currently working on adding to my User Script. (Shameless plug: http://workflowier.com

The main benefit for me is it saves all the commands you want to commonly run. So for things like an SSH tunnel, rather than having to keep some snippet around to copy/paste into that new tmux window (yes, I use tmux extensively), I ca

I'd be interested in hearing about non-lazy alternatives other than manual key shuffling.

This project was posted here 6 months ago, but has since evolved quite a bit. Version 1.1.0 was recently released, so I personally wanted to hear HN's thoughts on this more stable version of the project. (I am not affiliated.)

For what it's worth, I didn't need step 0.5. brew install go, go get -u ... worked right away. I did not have go on this machine yet.

Though the reasons listed for what Orgalorg can do but Ansible can't are incorrect. Ansible can accept hosts lists from STDIN (-i '192.168.50.1,192.168.50.2').

Get a password manager that syncs to your phone. I'd be completely lost without it. I love 1Password for syncing. Just pop it open, copy/paste, done.

This is really cool, big fan of the lo-poly look. I just wish the camera didn't have so much (random?) movement. And maybe a way to change which way the balls fall from and also their size/weight?
