There have to be a lot of welders in that region due to the oil and gas and heavy industry. If there aren't enough welders there I don't know what area would have enough. As others have said, maybe they're not paying them eno

The rules aren’t that hard but actually applying it to code and honing it to consistently pull exactly what you want is in my experience the hardest part.

I don’t remember Not Just Bikes mentioning the sweltering heat and humidity in his video but it wouldn’t surprise me if he conveniently left it out or brushed over it. But my point is that Houston is designed the way it is because very few

Dallas’ big criticism from Texans (and especially Houstonians, there is a bit of a rivalry) is that it’s soulless… so you nailed it.

I don't know the distinct history of those cities but Houston's population didn't hit 1 million until the 1960s, nearly all of its growth has taken place in a car-centric world. At least 3/4 four of those cities have bee

True. Another issue with all the concrete is that it doesn't absorb rain and has made the constant flooding worse. Zero tree cover is also a shame, there are hundreds of miles of concrete bike and walking paths along the bayous that wo

When I lived in Houston I would bike to work occasionally but it’s not a pleasant thing to do 4-6 months out of the year. Even walking to the bus stop at 8am in the summer I would be sweating. People who harp on Houston for being designed a

My eyesight did get worse while wearing ortho-k so I agree it doesn’t reverse or stop bad eyesight. But I do believe it does slow the development of bad eyesight.

Look into ortho-k contact lenses. My siblings all have terrible eyesight but mine is ok around -1.5 and I was the only one who used ortho-k contacts.

There are many other criticisms in the Reception section such as the below excerpt which is a good summary of how I felt about what I read of the book. > The historian David A. Bell, responding solely to Graeber and Wengrow's argume

Thanks for the rec. I’ve wanted to read “Debt” for a long time but I recently read Graeber’s book “the Dawn of Everything” and it bent the truth so much every which way to get to his POV that I won’t read another book by him.

I noticed that as well, it’s gas flaring from O&G production. You can see similar patches south of San Antonio (the Eagle Ford shale) and in West Texas (the Permian Basin) and probably a few other spots too.
