They've recently renamed Outlook to Outlook (classic). So you can see which way the wind is blowing on this. Outlook (new) is still missing tons of big features and the UI sucks.

People seem to be scared of owning servers. But my experience has been that generally speaking they're very reliable. If it's important you would always want duplicates, fallbacks etc but it's only the same with cloud service

Maybe the first cycle is super lean, leaving lots of O2 and CO still to burn.

Fish and birds poop in the water, all day. It's just fertilizer.

S0 standby sucks. The laptop inevitably turns into a fan heater in my backpack and when you get it out to use it the battery is dead. You can spend ages on google finding obscure registry keys to tweak to turn off network in S0 and tweak hi

Not a fan of the web based OOB management, it's convenient for now but this morning I had a right faff trying to connect to an old iLO3 service, which is new enough to force https but old enough that all it's protocols are depreca

Obviously you need to subtract costs from that, not just production costs for this year but development costs, and the development costs of other drugs that didn't even make it to production.

Seems at odds with the 'cloud everything' zeitgeist. On Windows at least you can randomly send files to nearby machines using bluetooth, it's slow AF but faster than looking for a USB or making SMB work.

I recently started using TomTom amigo for car navigation in preference to Google maps and I noticed it uses openstreetmap data. Data seems good.

So you point your nameservers at a third party, let your account with that third party expire, then someone later on can create an account at third party and resume control of the DNS zone? I mean yeah, but you mustn't care much about

I use Migadu, mostly for people who just want a couple of domain emails when we host their site. It works good for that and I like the accessibility of the logging. Needs a user-accessible out of office I don't want users emailing me t

On Windows I always used to use Windirstat but it was slow, then I found Wiztree which is many orders of magnitude faster. I understand it works by directly reading the NTFS tables rather than spidering through the directories laboriously.

I had a Rammstein ablum, that if you rewound before track 1 there was a black box audio recording of a plane crash were everyone died. It was pretty macabre. I think the CD cover was like a plane's black box if I remember correctly.

Everyone with an ounce of common sense can see that the gig economy is just a way to pay people less and side step labour laws, so a small number of people can sleep on a bed of money. I find it obscene and sociopathic.
