Armed with this fact thinking about electronic devices. How the front of the signal travels and how suddenly the distance matters. Was blown away when I first thought about this.

Maybe just get married and get that citizenship sorted eh? You are in a situation which obviously is exploited by your employers.

What most people don't know is that vista was not all that different from 7. As you mention after SP fixed the bugs. The main issue was hardware requirements were quite hefty with all the new stuff and people put it on 2gb ram laptops

What? That is actually an everyday concern and devs assuming that information is not needed will bring pain down the road. Just two cases of the top of my head: working with databases and json interop with other systems that actually do dif

The thing that bothers me is... golang actually has exceptions. It is just that nobody will dare mention it. Panic and recover eh? It is just that by default error is the thing you should use and everything and everyone does. Then the excep

This is actually terrible. I tried that a while ago, but after a short while removed all of the Optional[] code and went back to pointers. Why? The default ser/des in go just cannot play. It instead works great with pointers. Using poi

You ever ran out of ipv4 addresses on a home network? I find this probably does not apply to vast majority of users. And even if you do run out... If using DHCP is it trivial to change network prefix.

I stopped playing it long ago because it is just too random. They added too much stuff which is often a problem in rouguelites. There is a ton of better balanced deck builders out there. Personal opinion but monster train is much better bal

I moved from m1 MacBook pro to m2 recently. Just like that my monitor's built in KVM stopped working in a reasonable manner. Can use it to drive the web camera which sometimes works normally and sometimes with shitty frame rate. Microp

Bought one such monitor. 2 years later switched from m1 to m2 and it no longer works well enough (may also be the Sonoma upgrade stil gotta verify that). The devices get disconnected and glitch etc. Went to check with dell and monitor is &q

Apple and google are big corpos and those are legendary for their inability to make anything properly. It has been a while since they were small and could move fast... So no, I would not take them as a standard.

Java is slow is a really old myth. It was once upon a time. Ofc there are caveats but looking at your average developer ... You will be fine. On the other hand I would forbid an average developer the use of c/c++ and similar. It is jus

You think Europe does not have roads covering everyone? This is the sunk cost fallacy at it's finest. Maybe the most offensive thing about public transport to an American is that it cannot really be profitable by itself. Infrastructure

Touch buttons yeah. Combining the worst of both worlds. By being both touch and buttons and at the same time not being buttons physically so not having the ergonomy of the button and not being a touchscreen and so not having the flexibility
