The formatting has been well thought out. The main problems with Python formatting are copy and paste problems, source control merges, and relying on the count of invisible characters to determine indenting. Any time you're merging two bits

I thought lack of exceptions was a deal killer for me, until I started using Go... and then I realized how much better multiple returns is. You never have to worry about your code suddenly exiting out of the middle of a function if you don

Why is 37 cents too large for the granularity of a currency? In 1913 terms, 37 cents of today's money was the equivalent of 2 cents, only double their smallest coinage. Would you really be upset if any particular transaction was rounded up

I'm sure it doesn't scale perfectly. However, it is not unreasonable to think that lending small businesses money can spur job growth. If you need that 100k to expand your shop and pay for a new hire to help, it totally can work. This is ho

I don't really get the "legacy" systems bit. Are you passing around the person's password to every back end server? Why? Just auth once and pass around the user id. You should trust your internal systems, not require each system to reauth.

I thought this was going to be about code reviews. Instead it appears to be advertising submitted by someone whose account was created an hour and a half before this was submitted.

100 characters seems a pretty reasonable compromise. Keeps lines from getting too long and hard to follow, but you're not splitting lines all the time just to keep under the limit, which also reduces readability. If you're having trouble fi

I think sales people are often overpaid, and developers underpaid. After all, the people creating the value and maintaining the product are the ones that are truly "selling" it. The sales people are just pointing people's eyes at what dev m

I am not a copyright expert, however I am familiar with the Lego Group (the company that produces Lego toys) ... the set is pretty old (1986), which means they're not worried about making money off it. If you just stick a disclaimer after i

Not to be a stick in the mud, but you're using a copyrighted image as your logo without any attribution or acknowledgement of the original owner of the copyright (the Lego Group). You should probably fix that.

Women should not have to stay sequestered in their own homes because some men are inconsiderate assholes. How would you feel if you were at a convention populated mostly by 7' tall gay weight lifters, and one of them shouted "Hey, nice ass!

There's a parser in the standard library that makes parsing Go code simple (regardless of format). This is actually what gofmt uses, I believe.
