It's not true that they haven't succeeded. BioNTech has used mRNA vaccines to prime the immune system of cancer patients. The difference is that these vaccines are individually tuned to the genome of the patient. https:/

Reminds me of this voice command skecth I've watched recently (careful, loud): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4n-GAd33jew Especially, since the problem wasn't the voice command in your case.

Where did she get the numbers of total deaths from? Does the US publish death rates during the year or only afterwards? For Europe, there's a pretty obvious excess death rate this year with two spikes: https://www.euromomo.e

I wonder why the user didn't get a better reason for their ban? These unclear explanations make it really difficult for users to follow-up on bans.

Everything but the macOS software update notice is gone now, since it's too old. And there are no historical pages. What's missing is also a section for MacOS apps not starting.

There should really be a "succeeded (in spirit) by ..." for many of these.

I think the parent post is alluding to scenarios where Google uses their market position to stop loading websites based on other factors. i.e. a website that does or doesn't implement a certain API. It's a very dystopian view, tho

Service workers have been around for a while. As far as I know their capabilities are restricted to the domain that includes them. So the guardian website can only intercept network requests made from itself.

30 minutes later and it still happens, just after "Elon" posted a normal message. Hopefully most users have caught on to the scam by now.

Good to see there is a market for tiny phones. That gives me hope there's a market for sub 5 inch screen phones as well. Or something not bigger as a Samsung Galaxy A3 2017.

This isn't the first time the Flow browser is brought up. It's good to see they are still developing it, but it looks like their stance on source availability is pretty rigid.

Didn't perceive it as rude, but don't understand what my ability has to do with my critique. The contrast in OP's dark mode stylesheet is trivially fixed by making the font lighter.

Why should't the default dark mode fulfill basic contrast requirements (in this case WCAG AA is absolutely possible)? It's not difficult to achieve, and the same problem would exist if the website was in "dark mode" by d

The name is imo impressively bad for a search engine, as the word "clicks" has become so strongly associated with clicking on an ad, or clicking in order to see an ad.

The biggest issue for me is that github issues in the results don't have the issue title as title anymore but the name of the project. Makes it much harder to find an issue in all that noise.

I think the proposal for scrollbar-width:thin is good enough for cases where you have a secondary scrollable area in your site or application. Styles beyond that will just become too confusing.
