But it has steep hardware requirements. If qemu or virtualbox supports the OS you want to run it's better to use those.

You can just use the Pi 5 without a fan and it will still be faster and more energy efficient than a Pi 4.

I feel like the negativity is coming mostly out of a very small minority that tend to gather here and to a lesser extent reddit. In other places there's much less of that.

That's par for the course. Raspberry Pi always receives a lot of backlash here for some reason, regardless of the news.

I feel like the GPU on the Pi is pretty weak. It was fine in the first model, but they haven't improved it much in subsequent versions compared to the CPU.

> The raspi 4 was just on the cusp of being usable as a main computer, I wonder how good this will be. Don't worry, software developers are on it. Soon the Pi 5 will also be on the cusp of being usable as a main computer.

There were 2 releases between VS6 and VS2005, so slightly slower than the current cadence of a new release every couple of years but not by much. I think VS6 remained popular for a long time because it was the last release before they switc

And? That doesn't help me if I want to target low-end hardware. Not every game should need a gaming laptop to run.

It happens to work but is not really supported. Mouse is super laggy, there are no guest additions and last time I checked it used a full CPU core at all times.

I agree but you don't need to run Windows 9x. NT 4 or 2000 should work fine and are well supported in VirtualBox.

Bevy is even more immature than Godot. It doesn't even have an editor and its reliance on webGPU leaves a lot of platforms in the dust.

Physical size and power requirements are also lower than a Pi 1.
