Ended up starting to write my own network analysis tool. Most of these tools don’t fit in with “home lab” type networks. Probably should finish it and share it here, might actually fit people’s use cases.

Curiosity may get me on this one, but is sharing information (such as this post/comment) an example of transfer of information (to potentially all countries)?

I feel like this article missed the mark, getting a PhD used to be something for affluent people who genuinely felt like contributing toward the progress of society. There’s always a disconnect between a romanticized ideal and what is pract

I’d love a tool like this to speed up development and I haven’t used the app but you always have to manually edit things afterwards. The difficulty with web apps is getting people to use them. Cool tool, hope it takes off.

This seems awesome! Anyone else find this to be kind of scary? The start to Web3.0 AIs making Web 2.0 applications to take over the world.

You could say that about anything related to the internet. But yes when shown extreme examples it’s obvious how unokay it is. As a person who tried to start a startup but had been hacked and assaulted by the organizations who seem to mainta

The purpose of post-prediction explanations would be to increase confidence of a practitioner to use said inference. It’s a disconnect between finding a real life “AI” and trying to find something which works and you can have a form of trus

Not surprised, rarely is it worth rewriting an entire codebase though. Not sure who would do that or what the implications might be for replacing all the say Python code with cpp.

nginx is one of the building blocks inside Kubernetes. I'd say it's doing okay and probably will for the foreseeable future. I've had the chance to look into the code base and it's relatively easy to read and work with,

Yea, but from the complexities of managing external facing libraries they do an extremely well job. As a former Googler I can jump into bazel, grpc projects or start my own relatively easily. I tried making a few guides on a personal blog e

I’m surprised HTML5 never took off. Browsers ended up regressing on some features like offline apps. Honestly with things like web components, you can bypass a lot of the needed steps to make halfway decent multiplatform applications by rel

If I had to guess working with parsing xml is more complicated than traditional code. Can’t find the links but one of the reasons I’ve seen people move away from xml has been due to the speed in parsing when compared to json or csv.

Total market share, you can’t generate more time to steal from people which is effectively what these companies like Google have done to generate revenue. If the government steps in they would have to break them all up and expect to make e
