I remember that when it first came out. I get it’s a theoretical or fashion type thing, but the concept seemed flagrantly absurd to me. Block automated facial recognition in a way that in turn makes your face instantly recognisable in any c

PHP is still definitely a beginner-friendly language that is still very easy to get started with. Setup is as trivial as it always has been, copy a .php file onto a server and you’re good to go. No complicated frameworks or “deployment proc

Misinformation from one country is allowed, misinformation from another country isn't. How do we know for sure that the news outlets from Western countries are actually telling the truth about what's going on, and aren't just

Why are all the variables functions? They're just numbers. There's no need at all for them to be functions that just return numbers.

What? This can easily be averted by adding a captcha to the form (server-side validation so no JS needed) and/or some sort of rate limiter or firewall, e.g. blocking any IP address that sends too many requests too quickly.

Clickbait headline. Buzzfeed was the worst thing to happen to journalism. Now every publication that once cared to have some semblance of reputability feels the need to emulate its style, reducing every article to something that sounds like

Why would a fake bank phishing scam site have a brick wall UI? Surely they’d want to make it as easy to enter your bank details as possible.

Thanks for the heads-up. I was almost about to be misinformed by an outdated, no-longer-relevant article about a language that's been more or less the same for the last few decades.

Average life expectancy was around 40 only because many died in infancy, which is itself unrelated to red meat consumption. If you lived past that stage, the average life expectancy was more around 70, the origin of the phrase ‘threescore

I am very curious as to whether the money you save in energy bills from today’s more ‘energy-efficient’ appliances outdoes the money spent in replacing the things so much more frequently. Older appliances may cost more to run but it’s possi
