Oh - I have one! I just want to see examples of others so I can figure out ways to improve my implementation.

Sure. Your first guess is correct - I do indexing of backend documents. I fetch a steady stream of FOIA documents, close to the maximum possible each week, and PDF/OCR them. I expose a web interface to the analysts I work with, to help

Do you have a demo on either of those sites where I can input terms into a search box and look at results? What explanation do you give to users as to the options available when formatting the query?

The only way this could get any better would be to have player collision.

I also took a few days a few weeks ago to setup elastic search after my mysql full text search fell apart. What I'm doing is slamming the full text output of OCRed PDFs into a MyISAM table, the entire document in a text field. What I&#

Wow, that commute time image is laughably wrong. 1 hour commute from Tracy? One hour to where?! One hour over the pass, barely into Livermore! I recently left the bay area as well, but I went way far north and gave up the commute. None of t

I love GoPros and I wish the company well. My favorite GoPro video is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2AfsBrpwRQ#t=1m10s Skip to 1 minute, 10 seconds if it doesn't place you there automatically.

This is great. I can attack the few chapters I skipped over in Joe's most recent book[1] that required R17. [1]: http://pragprog.com/book/jaerlang2/programming-erlang

Why would they spend half a billion dollars on a studio that only has one hit game?

Easy. The founder/founders have to be from the right social circle. Then you're worth Billions with a B. Profit? Revenue? Who cares!!

It reminds me of rally racing in a way. One second I'm on a dusty, slippery looking dirt road in Peru. The next I'm about 15km NE of Monaco on a winding, single-ish lane mountain road.

I did the same thing but I skipped past Sac to Yuba City. 13% cheaper housing here according to the same site. I'm renting a 4/3 2500 sq ft house on an 8k sq ft lot 3 blocks away from an 8/10 greatschools.org K-8 (I have 3 ki
