75% battery life on a car that has a 90 mile range? Talk about range anxiety! I'm not sure who looks at those cars, but they sure don't use cars like I do. I don't even commute and I can't imagine the stress of driving s

The standard edition which lists for $99/yr is ~$80/yr on Amazon and on sale elsewhere. That version is Office Home. Good for 5 people (like my family of 5) - Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Outlook / OneNote /

I wouldn't move myself and my family to the SFBA for a $250k job. Perhaps that's cliché to say that kind of thing at this point. It needs to pay more due to the cost of living. I'm making > 200 now in a city-data.com cost

Boy do I disagree with just about everything here. You need to keep your skills up to date, this is correct. Absolutely. I think it's a much more important skill to acknowledge that you don't need things like microservices, node,

Ha, it found the intersection that made me giggle when I was 10, and still makes me smile. The intersection of Crouch St. and SE P St. in Bentonville, AR. Crouch and pee, everyone. My grandma lived on the corner there thirty years ago.

I think most people would be surprised to learn what their city actually provides. For example, my waste service will drop off a dumpster for your use for up to a week. They'll do that, for free, twice a year. I've never seen anyo

Have you tried creatine loading? Take 20 to 25g per day for a week, then take 5g/day for a month. Take a few weeks off and do it again. That's what I've done in the past when I was taking creatine for a recovery enhancer.

The only thing that working from home hurts is your ability to put up with the general "office bullshit" that you put up with in order to have a career prior to technical remote work becoming a possibility. I know that, at least f

It's not better in every way. Mildew. Having to leave it open so that the seals air out. Gravity - undefeated champion. Replacement parts and repairs. Get ready to open up your wallet. Good luck working on anything yourself.

I have 3 kids - 11, 6, 4. After my third kid was born I fled the bay area. Find a good school system that is nearby. I have 10 years worth of schooling 3 blocks away. (pre-k through 8th grade) Work from home. If you get rid of your commute

Honestly, my only remaining fear in moving to NZ would be going from unmetered internet in the US to strictly metered internet in NZ. Would I be able to cope with a data cap?! It could be a reality show. Have your people call my people!

From what I can tell it appears to be difficult to get funding to address flooding concerns during a 7 year drought. I'm a bit to the south of the dam, in Yuba City, and was evacuated last week. The levees aren't in great shape in

Thanks for putting this together. Keep me in your thoughts, guys. There's a lot of misinformation about what's going on up there. I'm in Yuba City, 2 miles away from the feather and 30 ft up. They reduced the mandatory evacua

In my experiences using Slack, the people who aren't the normal IRC crowd (take that as you will, heh) fall out of common use after a short period of time. You're left with roughly the IRC crowd. That may be dependent on team dyna
