   I'm using password manager in Opera, got "csrf token: CSRF attack detected." on autofilled login. So no password managers?..

   It would be nice to know limitations (by browser/version?) I.e. maximum storage size, scope (global, 2nd level domain, any domain), life cycle (when is it cleared), etc.

   One practical use: you want the core files to be easily upgradable by overwriting over old files, without loosing the customizations. EDIT: Which means it's useful technique for app developers to allow easy customizations by others. EDIT2:
