What the html platform is lacking? My last project was built around QT, OpenGL, CUDA and made extensive use of various C based linear algebra libraries and was ~20kloc of C++. I'm sure it could be reimplemented as a web app but it would b

I'm just saying that the provision of video streaming as a web api is not a particularly technically interesting development. It's just a gradual beefing up of the browser as a thin client. And until support for the features are widespread,

That argument works for anything, as long as you can convince the browser vendors to implement support for it and provide it as an api. So I would argue that's much closer to the definition of cherry picking an example.

This is a fairly accurate depiction of the current state of the industry. It's fair to say that it's difficult to think of a good reason to stay in vfx other than that the work itself is so darned enjoyable.

No. I happen to use anything. I am not against Apple, I am against the Apple fanboyism. And any type of fanboyism. 'Fanboy' is a pejorative term used on the internet to try and infer irrationality in others. It's like hipster. It doesn't

With all respect, I have hard time seeing Apple laptops outside the US. Indeed. And where I am (also outside the US) I have a hard time seeing non-Apple laptops. Anecdotal evidence isn't really that useful when we're talking about global

Their is a continuum between dance music and mainstream pop music in Europe in the same way their is for hip hop in the states. So it's not unusual for it to be played on standard pop radio stations.

The benefits of instancing are felt more keenly in ray tracing because of the need to keep geometry in memory. If you're just dealing with direct lighting it's very easy to load and discard geometry as required as you rasterize the frame. O

Consider an analogy. When we reason about the performance of algorithms, it's important to know both the worst case performance and the typical case. They're two separate bits of information.
