The term has been attributed to Josh Sugarmann, head of the gun control advocacy group the Violence Policy Center. Going by this quote of his, he likely came up with it to intentionally confuse people who aren't knowledgeable about firearms

Tarn, the creator, has said that Dwarf Fortress might be the last game he ever creates. He may still be working on it 20 years from now, and it may still be in a pre-release state at that time.

I highly doubt any ultra-restrictive form of 'ammunition control' would pass Constitutional scrutiny. Saying the 2nd Amendment doesn't protect ownership of ammunition is like saying the 1st Amendment only protects free speech in a literal s

The difficulty in mining will increase dramatically once people start using them. To use the analogy I've been seeing everywhere, during the 19th century gold rush would you rather have been a miner or the guy selling pickaxes?

It's a loophole of sorts. They cannot legally post a sign saying "Credit card transactions will have a 5% fee added" but it's perfectly fine to say "Cash purchases receive 5% discount."

I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but it seems unlikely. What are the odds that I'd need to call 911 and: 1) I'm alone 2) I'm not near my car (I carry an old flip phone in the glove compartment for emergencies) 3) I've messed up my phone s

It hit home for me because it brought to light something I hadn't thought about before. I, like a lot people, have had daydreams about winning the lottery and what I would do with the money. I'd consider myself relatively fiscally intellige

I can happily say that I've given up on free to play games. The vast majority of free to play games out there are fundamentally flawed. At their core they weren't designed to be fun to play, they were designed to milk the player of money, o

This makes sense from Microsoft's point of view. Why would they pay a royalty fee on every copy of Windows when such a small percentage of users play DVDs? Especially when the fix is as easy as just downloading VLC.
