When Netflix really started to ramp up production of original series I saw a large spike in recommendations that just happened to be Netflix originals. It was pretty clear that their recommendations had nothing to do with what they thought

I've stopped telling people I don't really have a social media presence. A lot of people seem to find it creepy.

I've been watching progress on the Gemini for a while, I hope they deliver close to what they promised. A full Linux computer in that form factor with a SIM slot that can also dual boot Android is like my dream device.

Wow, I just glanced at the how they're generating random names and it's incomprehensible. What a bizarre way to do something rather simple.

It's getting more and more difficult to find a non-"smart" TV, it will be a sad day if the same thing starts happening to other appliances. I don't want to live in a home with a smart fridge, smart toaster, smart oven, s

That's what's preventing me from buying in this early. I would love to have a phone that's open and runs actual Linux but $600 is a lot of money for a product that doesn't exist yet and has a tentative ship date more tha

When did Intel stop including fans with some of their processors? The last processor I bought was a k branded i5 in 2012ish and it came with a fan.

I've never been able to get the disable annotations option to stick. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and it's been that way for years. Very annoying.

I'm reminded of Howie Hubler, the man responsible for the single largest trading loss in history. His trade cost Morgan Stanley $9 billion. He resigned and was given $10 million in back pay.

You don't need to suffer a major concussion to get CTE. Linemen for example still suffer from it and it's believed that the tens of thousands of "micro-concussive" events (ball snaps, rush forward, hit defensive lineman)

I do it all the time whether I'm walking, in a car, or on my motorcycle. If I look at them and see them looking at me it raises my confidence that they see me.

If I had the disposable income I have now back then I probably would have build a mining rig when the price was around $15. It wasn't too difficult to mine around a Bitcoin per day with a decent rig. On the flipside I have no idea when

A mixture of both. There are immense applications calculating fares based on a ton of factors (estimated demand, seasonality, competitor prices, and much much more) but analysts can tweak and modify markets manually as well.

That looks terrible to type on, like a chiclet laptop keyboard. I put up with those because it's a decent compromise for a portable computer, but at a desktop? And for $200? Who is the market for this?

Small note but the AMRAAM is also a fire and forget missile as the radar guidance system is contained on the missile itself and requires no additonal input from the jet that fired it. This is contrasted with a missile like the AIM-7 that re

You are exposed to radiation while flying, I wouldn't be overly surprised if California passed a law mandating that the pilot notify passengers that "flying is known to the state of California to cause cancer."
