I think that your hammer must be open source if possible if you develop software. Learn from mistakes of the past, like TextMate. We're lucky that the developer open sourced the project in the end, but that's not the way it usually goes. It

I use vim. As a software craftsman I want my hammer to be Open Source. ( just see what happened when TextMate got stagnated, there must be other examples ) It's my hammer, it must be open source if possible.

I've had a great experience with Apple Support so far, when I renewed my contract I had some random issue with my credit card expiring (it was an old CC), because of this issue the iAds in my Apps where failing to Appear (for about a week).
