Not necessarily. Many homes outside metro areas have inadequate network infrastructure. Satellite and dial-up aren't enough for the kind of remote work I do.

Steam Machines had the option of running early versions of SteamOS, which Valve sorta pushed and most manufacturers ignored. SteamOS was pretty rough back then.

The Node ecosystem has caused me nothing but pain, is large and memory-intensive, and Doesn't come stock with the distros I use, requiring much manual configuration. I too will be avoiding this editor, whatever its merits, due to Jabba

I think 10-15 years of exclusivity, followed by 20 years of compulsory licensing before entering the public domain would be even more fair. That way, creators can get paid for longer, while further creativity is less stifled.

This is my view as well. Compulsory licensing after a period of exclusivity, then public domain, would be a good deal for everyone. I think this would additionally work well for patents.
