Buyers remorse is also bad for business. If you feel the extra $700 you spent on top of the, relatively, high sticker price of your laptop* wasn't worth it, you're not as likely to be a return customer. That's my experience f

I think this might just be the fact it's a new release (unless they just don't sell that many maxed out Airs). My work just got me a maxed out MBPr on Thursday. Was in/out in 10 minutes without reserving it online or whatnot

This is great. Glad to see Perl support as I'm working in both these days. I have a C# DLL I'm planning on porting and I think I'll give this a whirl. If it can do a good port I'll be very impressed.

I'm yet to find an actual source for that figure whenever it comes up. Is it just some tech site comment section spitballing or did they actually disclose the TDP?

I find myself divided. On one hand I feel like writing this all off as 'well duh' but on the other I feel it's society's responsibility to become indignant about these things. Perhaps it's naive but I feel it should keep some of the worst o

Indeed, T-Mobile seems to be turning things around a bit between the new pricing the the LTE Network rollout. I'm considering switching from their other half (MetroPCS) after I ran a DSLReports speed test on my buddy's iPhone 5 and saw 22Mb

Granted, every School District is going to have its own way of dealing with IT, but here's how things were during my stint volunteering at a LA Unified School District elementary school between 2002-2004. First of all there was some up fron

This is really neat. I probably drew 100 diagrams of submarine designs as a kid. Kudos to him for actually building one (or four for that matter). I'm curious if the 30ft depth limit is simply a practical safety limit (if you remember back

My understanding is that the Pi lacks real audio hardware on the analog output. For audio heavy projects you should consider a USB sound card. Edit: This looks promising: http://dbader.org/blog/crackle-free-audio-on-the-raspberry-p...

I disagree. If you don't like the policies of a studio, boycott their content. This is not a new concept by any means[1][2]. If a content provider lacks an audience, it's going to hurt them financially. It doesn't matter if its paid media

Personally I think the low cost iPhone, assuming it is actually more than a rumor, will be more akin to a re-skin than a new endeavor. Wall Street, Tech writers, and those swayed by smartphone marketing don't want to see an "old" iPhone 4S

I've never understood why people dislike the commercials so much. Most of their half hour (21 minute) shows only contain at most three minutes of commercials spread through the show. At worse you're sitting through a minute break from the s
