I have an acquaintance that switched from Perl consultancy to Dart/Flutter consultancy and managed to find less work. This was someone that was engaged in the early days of Dart and was part of Google’s Flutter outreach program.

We have these in Atlanta and while I get the concept I think they are often improperly sized and become their own form of congestion. Some of them create weaving due to lames becoming turn out on ramp lanes with little warning. It’s not unc

So I have had to suffer being given the gift of my neighbor, an AV-file, setting up a home theater style setup. Personally I’m not super happy with what he did. I have a full size rack meant to be filled with electronics I don’t want, and h

I’ve had good experiences with this and my local USPS. They usually send a dedicated driver in a van rather than the truck. The only failure here was a lightweight toolbox shipped from Indiana. Meanwhile I’ve had all sorts of AliExpress so

Had the same maxed out i7 11” air. I replaced it with a 2018 13” (the second model of the following generation) which was only faster when it wasn’t thermal throttling… which was its general disposition. Those 2010-2015 era Airs were great

People are riled up when Linksys or Netgear refuse to follow the GPL they themselves use to build their products. They’re using and modifying GPL code and not publishing it. They’re supposed to do that. In this case Prusa is riled up becaus

Hard agree. This sounds more like Josef and perhaps the author have a romantic idea about open source but now dislike the realities. There’s no way you can get people to pinky swear to not use the rights in the license you chose. There are

My understanding is that CarPlay costs nothing other than implementation costs for car makers and head unit makers. Do you hav proof otherwise? This cost delta seems unlikely based just on CarPlay and Android Auto.

Definitely not alone. Some VP doesn’t get it and is going to find themselves in a new job elsewhere after they figure out what they just committed themself to. I love GM cars once you remove their terrible UI and escape to CarPlay/Andr

There are a couple edge cases where CPAs are poorly equipped. ISOs are one of them. Out of state ISOs even more so. I moved out of CA and had to pay taxes on my ISOs. Financially it was a good move as the market soured after I sold them. Ev

This isn’t really a conspiracy theory. Any time you see a positive puff piece listed as being written by “staff” or similarly vague term… that’s a marketing piece that is a paid placement.

I’m a new owner of an electric car. Speaking to my friends that own them, they made it clear that it’s always cheaper to charge at home (save for the first three years of my Porsche ownership where VW’s Electrify America picks up the tab).

My experience is that for some types of integrations you see about a 70% success rate. Eventually you need something that is more reliable. Maybe you need an all in one solution that has some ETL capabilities. Maybe it’s a cost thing. Zapie

Good benchmarks are often concerned with core to core latency due to the physical topology of the cores. I imagine we’ll see some expansion into which core complex is in use for a given test and comparing both of them.

Correct. My last job built a low rent version of this and it was very painful. 15-45 minutes to launch a pod that would have taken 3 minutes under Compose. Pushed a new base image? Whole thing would roll over and need another 15-45 minutes.
