Great, thanks! For me it's just a distant dream now, but I bet business will be booming for you in the coming years, especially if you're located in Europe ;)

As someone who is greatly motivated to moving off Azure (to onprem, not to another cloud), do you know of any good collection of Azure security issues I could use as 'ammunition'? Would be greatly appreciated! UPD: note to self -

I've been loving Kagi search and am really looking forward to Orion being available outside Apple land. You can join the email list here: https://kagi.com/changelog#6479 I'm a bit worried that Kagi might be over-e

Interesting, I did not know that. Thanks for the tip! That would require using configuration snapshots, which we have forgone now a simpler "load configs once on startup" (again, a small downtime now and then is no problem for us)

That's the next step - hopefully. Moving to Linux, possibly with containers. Maybe in 5 years...

Yeah, we probably initially overestimated these issues, causing us to take a longer, more indirect route. Thanks!

Thanks for the counterpoint - absolutely what I was looking for. Running the agent on the app server seemed a bit risky since it will a) drain resources from the apps and b) needs to have a route open to Azure (Devops) Apparently you have h

Thanks for the link, I'll be sure to check it out! Although the biggest pains at the moment are the connections and accounts, anything to smooth out the process is of great interest UPD: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-u

What I was refering to was the "why", not the "what" or "how". This is not a good function name to my eye, but YMMV: get-station-id-working-around-vendor-limitation-that-forces-us-to-route-the-call-through-an-i

Good question! I'll need to think back a few years. Based on my experience on a couple of govt organizations, the IT departments are very small, compared to the total workforce, and has to deal with decades of legacy. In this environme

Fully agree with you there - building cloud-only stuff has always seemed foolish to me. Even Azure Functions can be done as e.g. simple C# programs which would be trivial-ish to port ovee to VMs. But my concern is for those that have built

I hope so too, but move where? Does Scaleway or UpCloud or any other EU cloud provider have comparable offerings? Sure, if everything you have is running on containers or VMs, the stuff is easy to port to Hetzner et al., but what to do with
