Speaking of smelly: My scanner just broke down last week. The powersupply started smelling burned plastic and then gave up the ghost completely. Can't find a powersuppy fitting the special contact. It has been working since windows 95

To be honest I had the same thought 10-15 years ago when I was reading stories to my daughter. It was all written after a template, changing names of places, characters and goals for the story. Many were based on Harry Potter with kids goin

I do get breathing reaction, it's not funny. And I start sneezing and coughing so everyone starts looking at me like I have covid, very amusing. The thing is, a smoker can't really smell how bad it is unless they stop smoking for

It's like technical debt. The longer you wait to fix it, the more it will cost you.

We had great fun with https://www.glbasic.com in our family. Simple basic for game creation mainly but I did use it for processing data at work for a while :-)

The size of the bicycle tires are also important, and the air pressure. I changed to a fatbike without metal studs this year and now I can bike with very low pressure. Normally around 0.5 bar when bumpy and slippery, it works like a charm a

A lot of it is chosen male because female body is more complicated in some ways. We are just figuring things out with statistics and some things will be wrong if we cut out 50% of the population. Sience is starting to wake up to this though

No idea what resolution those cameras are, can they be as good as our auto-adapting eyes together with our brains? They are pretty neat features after all, trained right. And will we loose our abilities if we don't keep working on them

When I realized this about 1990-ish after reading some contracts that they had to sign, I completely stopped buying music from stores. The only music I bought since then was directly from the (small) artists.

The Amiga could do a lot more than the Atari with the gfx chip. The Atari had three modes, 320x200, 640x200 and 640x400 so two horizontal and two vertical resolutions. It also can change frequency between 50 and 60 Hz but that wasn't i

This has been annoying me since I first tried a PC after using Atari computers since they were a thing. No matter what monitor I use, it will take for ever to switch input port or just a simple change of resolution. I was used to be able to

Mojang was not a tiny indie company though, it already sold millions of copies before the release. Yes, he should have let his agent negotiate the contract. Do what you are good at and let others do what they are good at.
