Yes. Some popular promise polyfills totally trash the performance of "native" promises. I don't quite remember which ones. Needless to say, Posterus also compares very well in this field.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tend to run everything on Futures, rarely dealing with callbacks or promises, so interop tends to be a non-issue. But it's probably worth including a promise-to-future convertion function. What do you think

Language author here. I feel pretty stupid for what I wrote in the documentation. Commenters here are entirely right to bash it for claims of terseness on the syntax level because that's not an advantage, just a questionable tradeoff.
