I've been running the 1.6 release candidates, and the compilation speed improvements have been massive. There have been plenty of instances in the past where I've tried to 'quickly' show off some Julia code, and I end up

It is incredible how fast SpaceX became the leading contender in what looked like an impossibly entrenched industry just a few years ago. Hopefully, Blue Origin and some of the other private launch companies can have similar success.

Plutos killer feature to me is that it is not mutable. It can be challenging to adjust initially, mainly because it forces you to write extremely DRY code. The benefit is it makes your code much more stable/reproducible than jupyter an

The new interior looks fantastic and is what I would expect for a car in the future. The only issue is I would have a tough time getting used to that steering wheel, but I'm guessing it is designed with autopilot in mind.

All of those posts barely have any interaction or views so it doesn't seem like they are actually that big of an issue. Every social network has people saying crazy things.

Telegram doesn't really have threads so I'm not sure if this kind of visualization would be very helpful.

I stand corrected, I may have to revisit Altair. Some of those other options look pretty compelling too I think it's definitely time for something to replace Matplotlib as the go-to for python plotting.

I've seen this done by making a fake legend out of a bar chart. As far as I know, there's no way to make an interactive legend in Altair. Personally I would look into plotly / dash for something with interactivity.
