Many unhappy memories putting together a couponing system for Vons-Safeway in Informix Esql/C back in the late 1990s. Might have been easier if I'd ever done C before; but since it was Informix, I had a pulse, and I was the only p

I see no need to continue this discussion since you apparently feel your simple library built without understanding about actual real-life need, is better than the various battle tested ones out there. I'd suggest you focus less on hub

Herein lies the issue. Your library addresses issues that you personally have perceived exist with licensing software. What you haven't done is ascertain what issues actually exist. For example, what problem does your library alleviate

These Atom games bring back memories! Although I'm pretty sure Wampus was also one of the programs listed in a companion book to the "Atomic Theory and Practice" manual as well.

Obfuscation isn't all that good when out to the real test. Any .net app not compiled to native code can be disassembled if one is prepared to put any time to it. Back when the .net Framework first came out, I was all over using the ful

My first computer was the Acorn Atom. Wasn't as "cool" as the Vic-20 or the ZX-81, but the Atomic Basic language had on killer feature: the ability to embed assembly directly inside a basic program! Learnt so much about the 6

If I were concerned about licensing, then I'm really not sure I'd put my faith into a library like this - not least that if the app just shipped with the dll, then it could be swapped out in the blink of an eye with a stub. There&

How dare there be choices? I’m a developer - I do a huge amount of work on Sql Server and .Net. Unless I need to update some Sql Server CLR Procedures, all my development is done on my Mac using the Jetbrains suite or Azure Data Studio. So

Nope, still leaves them behind. I’ve been using AppCleaner ( https://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/ ) for years now and it’s a real neat (and free) app that’ll do a pretty decent job of cleaning up crud.

Supportive households are great and all, but none of that means anything when you’re in “the real world” where people just love to attack and bully you for being trans.

There’s a lot more to this than meets the eye. Whilst it’s all but a guarantee that there are some kids who are being over treated, the general premise about needing to treat kids at a young age is spot on. I wasn’t even much past 3 years o

Not about the format here; but I was interested in the image for “Brother Rat” downplaying Ronald Reagan’s billing, whereas the three posters available on IMDB has him basically on top billing. Wonder what changed…

Every language needs new features to continue to meet demand and to improve performance. Swift is a young language compared to Objective C so it needs to continue to grow and mature. Not sure why you’re so against this. I’m a C# gal myself
