No, it wasn't Prolog. It was relatively new and unknown. It wasn't a logic language; you actually created new syntax for the language, with BNF rules.

When I saw the title, I thought the comparison was going to be that it was beautiful and polished, but the storyline/features weren't too amazing.

XHTML is such a load of garbage. Transitional is bad, sure, but strict HTML 4.01 is the very best.
