I feel a worthy, yet absent, *BSD would also be DragonFlyBSD. Exactly what the difference is between DragonFlyBSD and other BSDs I will leave for someone else to summarise in a more definitive way, however my take is that it is all-round mo

I was able to see RS and "register my interest", but apparently that doesn't equate to buying one. Then of course the Raspberry Pi team tweet that we're "on the wrong page" without even investigating the issue first. Most annoying.

Armin sums up the differences pretty well in a comment on StackOverflow[1]: "The big difference is that Flask is based on other technologies such as Werkzeug and Jinja2 that exist for a longer time and it does not try to reinvent things. Bo

>Good thing it's a one-off that I think they generated for me Is that really a good thing? If they can't store it properly, what are the chances of them generating it properly?

Every one I have encountered so far has gotten very hot when doing any kind of light CPU/GPU task. Sure it's by design, but it's also very unpleasant.

It would be awesome if your iOS browser didn't crash when it's trying to display something that should be well within its capabilities. Though it appears the content is loaded in a frame anyway, so here's a link to the content which should

So for $25 less, they get to display advertisements for (presumably) the lifetime of the device? No thank you, that's a terrible deal! Though the hacker in me wonders how long it would take someone to remove/disable the ads. Modified firmwa

I don't suppose you're planning on bringing this to Android any time soon? It looks like a game I'd be interested in. Congratulations on your success!

After having some serious problems with the beta, I'm actually very impressed with this release. Even on my parents' old ex-council computer (1ghz P4, 512mb RAM, integrated graphics) this release is lightning fast!

Having only been here for a short time myself, I think the general answer to your question would be: Hacker News is a lot more focused and has a much richer (in terms of experience, knowledge) community with a much lower tolerance for noise

If I remember correctly, Network Solutions does this as well. Edit: Apparently there's a name for this practice. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_name_front_running

I have a couple of issues with the design. 1) http://i.imgur.com/uzsiH.png - overlapping text/controls on the homepage. Tried it in a few browsers. Width issue? 2) On the swatch pages, I'd make the controls just a little less translucent.

In my experience https://www.gandi.net/ has fantastic service. I've tried 1and1 in the past, but we had a falling out regarding an automatic charge I cancelled that they still billed me for.

I don't know if you're already aware of this, but you can hover/click labels to make lines on the graph highlight and disappear respectively. I've found that these features make the graphs much easier to read. That said, I definitely agree

While I have never faced such a situation, from what you have described I would have to say "no". I just don't see where this turns into an employment opportunity. Some people wake up in the morning and say "today I want to be a chef", but

I used it daily for three years but several weeks ago I quit in favour of Hacker News. So far I've only gone back to view one subreddit. Reading the comments just makes me appreciate HN even more.

My suggestion for the homepage would be to make the screenshots expandable/zoomable. They're so small I can't really make any detail out apart from a few pieces of bolded text. Moving on from that, I'd be willing to give this a try but curr

The way I started out was contributing small patches to the Reddit (social news website) code base. The source code can be pretty daunting at first, but once you spend some time with it then it's pretty easy to learn. Reddit has several o
