I'd recommend starting from Terence Tao's Analysis I book. It really starts you from "zero" (literally), and constructing natural numbers, all the way to real numbers and integrals, and beyond.

It can't be helped I think. The chain of trust must start somewhere. What if someone secretly have your password and enable 2FA? The addition of the 2nd factor of auth is a big deal and the process should be as secure as possible.

Definitely C++ for me. Just to have templates and things like vector, array, variant, span, if nothing else. But these days I may prefer Rust over the two instead, if it’s not a numeric-heavy program.
