Yeah, not shit. Everyone here wants that. It's not happening because baby boomers only vote for politicians who limit supply and increase demand. I own a successful tech company and I own real estate here, so I'm not saying this o

Sure but that doesn’t mean they should be banned for life . If you commit a crime as a minor does that follow you around for the rest of your life? At least where I live, it doesn’t.

Ah yes, the weaponization of stigma. Want to shut down critical thinking? Use words like kook, nut, conspiracy theorist, racist, etc. You're basically gaslighting people.

Brave Search has a Goggle that does exactly what you want: https://search.brave.com/goggles?goggles_id=https%3A%2F%2Fra...

You could also make search more like the command line for advanced users. Typing a ! would prompt a dropdown and the user could select what Goggle to add. Eventually they could let users add multiple Goggles to a single search.

There is a Goggle that prioritizes domains popular with the Hacker News community: https://search.brave.com/goggles/discover?goggles_id=https%3...

For most regular non-tech people this is true. I think it’s best to control your own platform but you can still leverage Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc to grow your brand and make sure they’re onboarded to your own platform of sorts.

Totally agree. It’s just other CPUs don’t come close to the M1/M2. That’s what really makes the new MacBooks unique. It’s going to be like that for quite some time I think.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't see how paying creators directly disincentivizes SEO spam.

Those two goals are not mutually exclusive.

I love how there are now many little search engines trying to differentiate themselves from Google. A few others worth checking out are: 1. https://search.brave.com (they use their own index / my personal favourite) 2. htt

This is terrifying. If only a certain class of people has access to this technology (i.e. governments and huge tech companies), the temptation to use that technology to control the class of people who don't will be too much.

This is an interesting paper by the Brave search team: https://brave.com/goggles/ Essentially “goggles” allow anyone to create their own algorithm and share it. It’s a really interesting concept. Definitely worth readi

To minimize the friction of switching over for most regular folks. It doesn’t force you to use Facebook. You can use your email, Google and GitHub too.

Brave Search [1] is the best alternative I’ve come across so far. They have this concept called “Goggles” [2] on their roadmap, which I think has incredible potential to disrupt the status quo. [1] https://search.brave.com [2]

To be fair, assuming he’s a heterosexual male, isn’t it just assumed he would like young dancing girls?

My experience with Brave Search has been fantastic as well. I also like the UI much more than any other search engine I've used.

If an at-risk adult doesn't want to get vaccinated at this point, it's on them. Enough with this lunatic safetyism already.

I’m vaccinated. How do you know the long term effects of mRNA vaccines?

COVID is at most as dangerous as a normal cold for kids. This is a fact. It’s not even controversial.
