But you’re in control of your information retrieval, you didn’t have an unreliable agent synthesise bits in the middle. Again - to each their own. But what people use google for GPT doesn’t replicate anyway (and what the Google business was

Sure, use a different search engine then. To each their own.

Chat gpt is not a good source of truth so can’t be used for information retrieval at scale. You might have a specific usage pattern that is very different to the majority of Google Search users so it works for you

As a sanity check - when Hinton left google we celebrated it as the faceless business corpo shouldn’t be leading the velocity of the dev, it should be AI pioneers who understand the risks. If indeed a similar disagreement happened in OpenAI

Genuinely interested what you find useful that isn’t also the copilot main functionality (i.e o365 draft generation and github code templating)?

Irrelevant. I’m not dissing him for the company being non profitable - but given he didn’t have any input into building the tech (it was built in Google) and the product he lead is unimpressive by any measure (if you disentangle product fro

I know, and nobody was calling Bezos messiah in 2001, or 2008 for that matter. That’s my point.

I don’t see how that warrants use of quotes but I agree that is what the OP probably thinks given he called them loony tunes. The point was fairly clear even if he just uses their names, the usage of quotes if quite bizarre. If he wanted to

I am a bit perplexed by the amount of comments praising Sam as an absolute god and the second coming of tech leadership Jesus. The company is not profitable and miles away from being profitable, I’d go as far to say it doesn’t have a path t

This post is raising red flags for me as soon as Helen and Tasha were put in quotes as opposed to Ilya and Adam. Is it being non comp-sci that automatically invalidates proper usage of your actual name? Or is there another key by which thei

Disclaimer: I work in social media, and am convinced it has negative effects on mental health, which is why I limit usage. This review is a lot less than a smoking gun though. The author goes into large detail on the quantification of assoc

Before people get overly excited about this - it will be very important to see how exactly it's worded in the legislation itself. Anti-discrimination legislation has already made black-box algorithms illegal if they are deciding on any

One minor correction - the article creates a dichotomy where the hypothesis must be either 1) self-assesment is somewhat correlated with skill, or 2) completely uncorrelated And this is a true dichotomy. The "autocorrelative" effe

I can't quite figure out from this post and the posts after if you have any background in social science or not (you have stated you didn't do social science professionally - but I get a nagging feeling you have studied it) - and

I just re-read everything about this particular event through this lens and it is absolutely horrifying how much it fits. It reads as if kids are using crypto in a similar way they would if they were to play a game, with the difference bein

Depends on how it's put into production, but you can deploy a model as a RESTful API that has a defined interface and a defined output. What it does underneath is less important to you I guess. So for all intents and purposes, yes, a m

Did anyone actually read the article? Most of the comments here are treating the article as if the UK will depart from GDPR (as the title says) - but the article says nothing of the kind. It will be a slight change, probably reformatted to
