Anyone else think this is on purpose? Now they can remove all third party sellers from their platform and cite a trust & safety risk. They've been neglecting sellers on the platform for a decade. Why else would the API be absolutel

It's hard to make money as a directory service with Google and Apple Maps around. The shadier they get, the bigger of a sign it is that they're in trouble financially, I would think.

I've been using sendinblue with good success. This author could have used sendinblue and still been in the free plan if he spaced out his newsletter (max 300 emails a day for free). Even the first paid plan at $25 lets you send 40k a m

Wasn't there a political expectation that if we produced our own oil, the price would drop? That was false from the start because we're a part of OPEC, right?

I wrote a very similar article back in 2007. Nice to see how the process has aged. This was the number 1 article on CenterNetworks until it's founder passed away a few years ago. (RIP Allen Stern) https://web.archive.org

This is more about UX than UI, though. I skimmed it at first before actually reading it and had the same thought, expecting some big visual wow. But the meat is in the explanation. This looks like a fantastic experience.

My frustration is that this is the only industry I know of that makes you perform a pre-hiring test. Can you imagine if a construction worker had 1 hour to assemble a dog house as proof that he can build?

SQL has been great. Relational data is greater. I absolutely hate working with graphQL, and document stores are a non-starter for projects with any decent amount of data.

This is awesome. What would it take to determine which brand (skittles, m&ms etc) and which sub-brand (tropical / peanut, etc) and how many calories are on the table? In my head, you would determine the relative color difference of

I fought hard for that as well among friends and colleagues. Here's my take on it: * I view vue/react/etc as a sort of polyfill for webcomponents. * I also look at JSX and Vue templating as just that -- programmatic templates
