How is it at all legal for the government to demand payment for something when you are not convicted of a crime? It's effectively a 100% discriminatory, corrupt, and unaccountable tax. Completely reprehensible.

The only reason why I haven't done that, is that the accounts actually have a positive impact on my credit. They're fraudulent, so I am taking action to remove them, but there have been no damages as a result. So, I don't rea

When I turned 18, I decided that it would be a good idea to get a credit report from all three agencies just to check what was on there. I found that there were multiple accounts tied to my credit score from before I was born. Two of the cr

Interesting. I started my own work on something exactly like this, before giving up after realizing how poor the Ruby opengl perfomance is / how difficult proper graphics rendering can be. Nice to see some more graphics work being done

Why would that be the case? 14nm FinFet designs tend to have a higher clockspeed (at least at the lower TDPs) while still consuming less power.

The author of this article says that Kaby Lake is an 'anomaly' when it comes to the tick-tock strategy that Intel has been following. However, this is not the case. Following the rollout of Intel's 14nm lineup, Intel realized

Will you guys be looking for interns next summer? I'm a CS major who's currently finishing up a software engineering internship at a major healthcare company. I'd love to get in touch, if so.

His complaint about the standups interrupting productive work rings a bell with me though. I see no reason why a daily status update over the general channel on slack doesn't serve the same purpose as a standup meeting. In fact, make i

If a potential employer demands to know how much I made at my last/current job, then in order to maintain a fair, symmetrical conversation, I would need to know how much every one of their current engineers make. Anything less would be

Freakonomics made a good podcast with the author of this book regarding this topic [1]. I can't say I agree with it, but it's an interesting listen nonetheless. [1]: http://freakonomics.com/podcast/american-gr
