Your argument broken down goes like this: "If you can't touch it, it isn't natural, therefore disregard it" First of all, what is "natural" or not does not matter. What nature does should not be measure to what we do. I see no reason for th

I have no expertise in these areas, but let me point out that you didn't give an example of where you got the idea that the gwan author was not knowledgeable enough. If this was so apparent to you, then it should be easy to enumerate your c

I agree that C++ is horrible, but I was under the impression that everyone who knows C would have at least learned C++ before discarding it, making it possible to at least use C++ libraries.

Hm, to me it is. If he knows C, he will know C++ too. Qt makes cross platform development trivial. Linux is a C stronghold. He knows the in&out of the Linux kernel, knows gdb and the gcc. He is making a C IDE, so why not program it in C

I just don't understand it, in this post for example http://tenaciousc.com/?p=1787 he is talking about poking around in the kernel, but then he develops a Windows-only C IDE? Qt is perfect, I don't understand what the problem is.

I argued that we can't fight human nature and therefore we should find policies that utilize it for the good of everyone. You argue that we as human beings have to change first before we can accept any such policy. Of course it will be a li

I actually agree with you somewhat although you are not saying a lot. We have to find a system where the fortune of a single person automatically contributes to the good of the whole. Capitalism is actually already surprisingly good in that

This is a typical "look at me" post. It's saying nothing. Just a few examples: > The Interface is not what but how. ... I could aswell claim: "The interface has to flow" > The interface is not obvious Opinion without any examples. T

It's absolutely astonishing to me that nobody ever mentions how Github handles viewing code. I always thought it's painfully obvious why Github won. They make viewing code easy. Duh. They have that nice little animation of code sliding in w

If we get an IDE with proper intellisense going and performance comparable to Java and C were indeed possible. Personally, I just don't think a dynamic language is ever going to get large scale adoption like Java/C/C++. It's just too inconv

So from reading the website, I don't understand what this framework does for me. I can get "cross device compatability" by using plain old javascript and html myself. Why do I need this one? :)

I don't understand why people have to build everything with Javascript. Objectively there is nothing that makes Javascript better suited for games than Flash/as3. I don't think that last ~0.5% of lacking Flash adoption is bothering anyone.
