Cappuccino wasn't really their product either, it was a means to establish a foothold in the framework area... Such that atlas would be popular.

Quick follow up to clear up a couple questions that came up: We only lay out visible rows, thus that layout is done in linear time, but calculating the position of those rows use the time complexities I described above. For variable row hei

I had a major hand in writing the CPTableView class in Cappuccino. The tableview is designed to handle hundreds of thousands of rows without slowing down. This is accomplished both through very aggressive caching, and the smart use of algor

It's also bold, and kind of silly, to suggest Cappuccino is veering toward obsolescence Tom. The only real argument you've given is that Aristo looks dated (which isn't exactly a scientific claim). Also, it's pretty important to understand

HTML5 has become a marketing term, it's not so surprising that Microsoft needs to differentiate themselves with their late jump on that bandwagon.

The problem is that if the issue never gets fixed then native apps using a webview will never see this performance improvement. Which means in order to stay competitive Apple must continue to develop nitro. Which means they'll either develo

I will tell you, as someone who drafted the blog post, we chose to highlight the newest members of our team rather than putting the original founders name on everything we publish. The community is growing very quickly. Also, Ross's name is

Cappuccino is used on a variety of projects, some are internal and some are not. I've listed several applications being powered by Cappuccino, but certainly there are many more if anyone wants to list them. - http://picsengine.com/home -

I dont mean to comment on your situation specifically… I'm simply pointing out you're at a disadvantage: 1. Mobile Safari isn't feature complete 2. Apple has no incentive to make it feature complete

The 280North website was never really updated, so it's silly to look there for development updates. The Cappuccino website still receives updates and the Mailing lists as well as the repository are very active.

This best thing about cappuccino's tableview is that it can be use everywhere... For example reimplementing tweetie's tweet list (more on that in a week or so). It doesn't traditionally look like a table, but it is. It's incredibly flexibl
