I would recommend reading the actual paper, and not the press release. The main novelty here and what the paper is about is their method, not the discovery of the antibiotic.

Only issue is that I am not sure they are recycleable anymore. But it is a small strip of cardboard and metal - so probably doesn't move the needle anyway.

I'd say another challenge with grociers is that each item is of such differnt size, shape, material. You have tiny flexible plastic bags, bananas, basil plants, round glass beer bottles, self serve orange juice machines operated by thi

Would be quite the challenge to use a skewed distribution of the address space that's skewed enough to mitigate this type of scraping while at the same time minimizing the risk of collisions.

AI is a contemporary marketing term. Statistical methods that go under that umbrella term has been used for a few hundred years. AI has now become hip, so anyone using any methods that could conceivably be put under that marketing term is n

Where I live most couriers only ever drive out 2 or so days a week. I always get delivery notifications (NOT Expectations, notifications, i.e. your package will be delivered on the 15th). But the 15th is then a tuesday, and they only drive

We'll except the fact that deep geothermal plants are completely theoretic as a means of production - the final cost of power is a big ???. Most people want cheap power. Anything over around 20 cents a kWh makes it uncompetitive to fos

That honestly does not sound too terrible for something so advanced and bespoke. Which cameras cost less than 39k that are manufactured at less than 2500 per year?

These sort of questions are always a bit meaningless. Do you mean, if they would place an order for +1 unit today, what would they be invoiced for that specific unit? This question is quite irrelevant, because they don't order them one

Lol that's why it's hidden in a PDF. They basically announced GPT 3.5, then. Big woop, by the time Ultra is out GPT-5 is probably also out.

Yep, the announcement is quite cheeky. Ultra is out sometime next year, with GPT-4 level capability. Pro is out now (?) with ??? level capability.

If they didn't announce it now, then they couldn't use the Ultra numberes in the marketing -- There's no mention on the performance of Pro - likely it is lagging far beind GPT4.
