Thanks for the link, although I understand only half of what it is. Do you know what the file extension inc stands for?

I think he means to remove the find my iPhone protection. With find my iPhone, you cannot restore the phone, you're always asked for the Apple ID before you can use it again. You can either remove it in settings of the iPhone, on iClou

The app looks great and you guys really have a thing for good designs. I tried out your other app "Stocky" and wanted to give you s quick feedback. It probably has the best welcome screen I've ever seen. The download size wit

Docker images use the union file system. That means when a new version of that image is available, you often only pull a few megabytes from the hub because it already has the OS. A docker container is also way more lightweight. Instead of r

Europeans normally don't use a VPN to watch blocked YouTube videos. They use a browser plug in that uses a proxy for the blocked videos (and only the blocked ones). Hulu (or netflix to be precise) is one of the reasons I use a VPN but

The second article fails to mention the country of origin. It wouldn't surprise me if more then 20% percent of Chinese use a VPN, however, but I still don't think many in Europe use it because we don't have censorship. In som

I can't agree with many facts in that article: > "[VPNs are] used by around 20 per cent of European internet users they encrypt users’" I think it is more like 2%. I don't know anyone but me who uses a VPN. I'd e

Yeah, I'm quite aware of the struggle with timezones. You apparently try to pick the timezone based on my ip address, which is often good enough, but there are better solutions. I think you should be able to get the timezone with javas

Thank you very much for the link but this sounds really stupid. Couldn't I just create a database with all posibile additions ranging from 1,000,000 to 10,000,000 and sue everyone who publishes a book/paper etc because of the &quo

How can you copyright a wordlist anyways? I'm really not familiar with scrabble but doesn't it just contain plain English words without any context? They could of course copyright the order but couldn't you just shuffle the l

If you just need a close that does not do anything, go has a pretty cool wrapper: `ioutil.NoopCloser`. It takes a reader and returns a reader that can be closed `io.ReadCloser`. Very useful for testing/mocking

Sorry, I didn't read the parent comment thoroughly enough. I though you meant the reading mode in safari. Then, I suppose my third point is invalid :) Thank you very much :)

No I haven't because it is $3 and I don't want to spend "so much money" for an app, I might not end up using (just like all the other 1000 Hacker News apps that are out there). I might give it a shot, though, if you say

Hey, thanks! As of the reading mode (that was the word I was looking for), Yes, I have heard about it. I use it when I load a webpage in Safari. Still, it is only available when the page finished loading. When I'm riding the train I ha

No. There are usually talking about 2 threads accessing the same code. Let's suppose we have an int, and want to add 2, we would do: 1. int i = sharedInt 2. i = i + 2 3. sharedInt = i (that's what the compile actually does when yo

That's funny, cloudflare has a project to "Protect Free Expression Online"[1]. It even states: "Often these attacks appear politically motivated — going after, for instance, citizen journalists reporting on government
