That's a terrible, sad and rude comment that does not belong in HN. Instead of just criticize you could offer a constructive review. I hope English is not your native language and it has a less aggressive tone in the translation.

Jesus. I almost had a panic attack reading your story mate. I'm so sorry I hope your life turn better soon. Where did you go to college if you don't mind me asking?

I have ADHD but I've never took any medication for that. Would you mind to share some of these effects? Because over the years I feel like my attention span has shrank considerably.

Isn't it heavy and slow though? At least that's what I hear. I use android studio in a beefy macbook pro from time to time and it's slow as hell.

Hm that's a bummer. It sounds like it's taking the Electron path then? Because that's exactly what I was trying to avoid.

Hm I'm in the exact situation and I'm total beginner on desktop apps. I've been looking into Flutter for desktop but it isn't stable yet. If you ever come to a conclusion would you mind to share it? Thanks.

I've been using TS with RxJS for the last 4 months and I think JS is totally fine. What bothers me the most is JS abuse. Why everything has to be a SPA and thus have to be recreated in JS. E.g. history API. And wtf we need RxJS at all?

Oh I forgot to mention: if you're doing this just so you could learn modern JS then rolling your own solution is all fine. Other than that I would avoid this at all costs.

A couple of weeks ago I tried the official Angular tutorial on SSR and found it super difficult. If you're willing to give React a try I would choose Next.js. It's pretty much a Node.js web framework that uses React for its views

Last time I followed the official .NET tutorial I was also shocked when I had to download +1.5gb of dependencies. It was more than 4 years ago though and the landscape might be a lot better now but I don't think they managed to keep th

That's the one feature I'm still longing for. As I front end developer I've spent several days reading webpack's docs trying to make it work. It's a fantastic tool but I hate to mess with it. I've even consider

I couldn't put it better. I'd be happier if we stop thinking that every single website on earth must be a SPA.

I understand and I'm trying to troll you but if you need desktop features on your software why can't you just build a desktop app?

I'm with you, contrary to 99% of other websites that's a fair use for a SPA.

I'm not sure yet. I think I'll stay longer to see how it goes. The salary is pretty good and there are lots of benefits. I don't know actually, I've just arrived. It's been a month only.

So cool to see people saying good things about C++ and I've never had the chance to take a uni course on computer science but I've always wanted to the GUI stuff with C and C++. Maybe I should try again. Thanks OP. :)
