Bespoke works to a certain extend, just like having various spreadsheets with macros in them, but after a while having a standard business process becomes quite vital. Especially when other people already made the same mistakes and came up

Speaking from experience, it's because most systems and companies miss a lot of edge cases and standard business processes while they're trying to reinvent the wheel. A recent example of this is, when a job has multiple shipments,

It's incredible how many applications abuse disk access. In a similar fashion, Apple Podcasts app decided to download 120GB of podcasts for random reason and never deleted them. It even showed up as "System Data" and made me

Sounds like I should give Claude Code another try. The last time I worked with it, it was quite eager to code without a good plan, and would overcomplicate things all the time. Not entirely relevant, but the example I remember is I asked fo

The what-why switch is quite useful, because it also helps you avoid Claude's "great idea!" responses as well.

I think the initial plan was to introduce lost-kid/elderly plan, but they thought people will be more willing to accept a pet version (pun indented) first. Also the implementation is quite strange as well. I can imagine a version where

> Regardless, notepad is a very trusted application and is often run as Administrator. Sorry to say this, but Notepad was a very trusted application now. I cannot believe that such a core utility has a 8.8 CVE, it sounds like a joke tbh.

They also wanted to use the popularity of Notepad, so they replaced it with an AI bloatware version instead of creating a new app with extra features.

I still think Alan Dye was secretly fired. When you live in a bubble and everybody around you is propping you up, you think everything is fine and dandy, but users don't care about your or anybody's feelings. Dye didn't bring

When the iOS 26 video player first leaked, I thought to myself, this has to be some kind of April 1st joke or a knock-off smear campaign or something. Nope, Apple did really half-assed their entire iOS to the ground.
