If you are looking for a Oberon compiler that is easy to port then you could consider OBNC. http://miasap.se/obnc/ The compiler is written in C and should compile on many POSIX compatible systems. Works like a charm o

I think Ada get’s quite close to that approach. Mostly you describe data structures you need, rather a representation the computer understands. The compiler is supposed to sort out the transition from programmer need to computer need. E.g.

I wonder, is this not a prime use case for Ada or even SPARK (the provable sub set of Ada) ? You definitely can use C++ as well, but in a project like this, what would be the reasons not to use Ada?

2GB is ok for what you normally do with a phone or tablet. Manage small chunks of data, writing, browsing, little development, some games. I have used the Original Pinebook for about a year as my main private laptop and can say it was an en

How does an audience follow a medium complex subject if not with some visual aid to help to keep the big picture? No quote to back this up, but the articles main point really does not reflect my experience. Visual aid can be a lot, useful

What sometimes puzzels me is that ERLANG is described as quirky and difficult to read. I find that once you learned a bit about it for just one day or so it is a very simple to write language that just flows on the screen from your thoughts
