We should all do this. A more generic template: Dear MY MP, As a digitally literate citizen of the 21st century, I'm sure I don’t need to explain why David Cameron and Claire Perry’s attempts to censor the Web are so dangerous. I’d lik

What's to stop ISPs blocking the Immunicity proxy as well? The ORG stated that ☑ web blocking circumvention tools will be one of the checkboxes.

My main concern is with regards to who has control of the blacklist. I can imagine site like http://torrentfreak.com being blocked from the onset, even though it is nothing more than a news aggregation site. How big a jump is it

What worries me is that this is a largely untested area. If somebody could point me to some non-anecdotal evidence that iPads have a marked effect on student progress, then maybe the cost could be justified.

Nobody outside the HN community seems to care about the Summer of Surveillance. Everyone I talk to has the same "meh" attitude. I find the lack of concern from friends and family to be more troubling than a lack of concern from th

I was talking in regards to PC sales. Microsoft has gaming covered with the XBox, and to a certain extent IE. When I said niche, I was referring to gamers that buy PC gaming rigs. These consumers are not important to Microsoft, they have bi

Gaming is a tiny niche market in reality. Microsoft runs almost everything. Have you ever seen an ATM crash - yep you get a BSOD, or a ticket machine at a cinema, or a checkout till. Most of these machines are still running XP!

This constant 'Microsoft is doomed' meme is really beginning to annoy me. Yes, their heyday has past when everyone had a PC running Windows in their homes, but that does not mean the end of Microsoft. "Tablets and smartphones

"What else will be banned?" This is what worries me the most. If there is going to be a government approved 'blacklist' it suddenly becomes very easy to block content that the politicians decide is unsuitable. It's

I find the technological incompetence of our political leaders and advisers very worrying. I doubt any of them could describe the difference between The Internet, The World Wide Web, a web browser and a search engine.
