Ah, I think FT story made a mistake, it isn't 2.2 billion dollars of SRM, it is 2.2 billion tokens. Biiiiiiiiig difference.

Im genuinely intrigued by the $2.2 billion in SRM The peak market capitalisation of SRM was less than 1.5 billion (according to coinmarketcap.com ) . So how could FTX's holdings every be valued at 2.2 billion?

Twitter is dead dude. It is Friendster. It is MySpace. You just don't realise it yet. (Disclaimer I have a Twitter account that I use to post stuff)

Tesla is down 40% since the start of the year. The stock market as a whole is not doong great. Twitter's share price was only so high because some idiot promised to pay 44 billion dollars for it.

Twitter is not a technical problem. I mean, don't get me wrong, there are interesting technical challenges in a high volume site like Twitter. However, the problems and real existential challenges Twitter faces have nothing to do with

If you want a massive corpus of training data theb you can create it by hand like grandpappy used to do rather than just thieving it whilst telling yourself it is fine.

Dalle doesn't produce any better images of people than "This Person Does Not Exist". All that's happened is it has a large corpus. A larger corpus allows it to be more varied but it doesn't fix the fundamental limi

No you are not a hypocrite, the world of legality and morals is not simplistic and black and white. You'll always end up with situations where close situations fall either side of a dividing line. And that happens. It's not hyp

Dalle is trying to optimise a bunch of random pixels to meet the prompt. It has a strong sense of what 1 object is. Ask it for a photo of a kitten and you get an jaw droppingly realistic photo of a kitten. Ask it for a picture of 6 kittens

Dall-E produces good looking images within certain parameters. When you are in its bounds it seems magical, once you go outside it seems like a weak joke. And many of the reasons it is bad outside its sweet spot are fundamental to how it wo

The pocket operators are great value, the PO-20 is one of the best all-in-one groove boxes around and the price makes it a total bargin. However, the cases are pure ripoff territory. I wonder if there are 3rd party ones available.

Tether is The House. It doesn't matter what exchange you trade on, the price of Bitcoin (and by extension all crypto) is settled in Tether.

If Tether goes to zero your counter-party risk goes to infinity. In the meantime it has all the hallmarks of a scam manipulated asset. Shorting it will get you liquidated at the whim of the manipulators.

Do not short Tether. Doing so is betting against The House. Not just any house, The House. The House in which all other houses are built. You _cannot_ win shorting Tether.
