As someone who travels regularly between countries and likes to game, this is really the only option for me (MSI gaming laptops et al have in my experience been absolutely trash in terms of durability). An mITX case albeit very small compar

I tend to fast out of laziness and drink coffee, snack on nuts to supplement afternoon drowsiness. Then eat way too much in the evening.

> 1 in 3 companies fall victim to CEO fraud emails alone Citation needed. I'm sure the number will look like that at companies who open and forward the email, doubt it's that high off the cuff.

Fronde* I don't know what Frondie is, and it's weird to see those companies mentioned on HN. Yes, they're all terrible body-shops to work for and they outsource a lot of work.

I think the first comment/reply to the post hits the nail on the head, by Florian Klein[0]: > Awesome! You replaced REST with REST. How revolutionary: > Instead of transferring application state through the wire via one of its re

Switched after the release. Now on a Thinkpad with 32GB of RAM for half the cost. Took a bit of adaption moving to Linux but I'm glad I did. Have had minimal downtime since switching to Ubuntu, can only recommend it for work if you

Specialised, specialised, specialised. Then networked, networked, networked. Now consult and contract only. Work is usually okay, but my real enjoyment of tech happens outside of work hours now. <25, outside US, no-remote work only.

There is no news here about the product or service that they're working on. We only have a name and HD Moore's involvement at an advisory level. This is not interesting.

JIRA definitely comes down to implementation and policy. I've used it in places and it has been amazingly helpful as a developer, to the point I don't know how we did anything before it.. Then going to a place that totally misuses

Is that still the case? If so, that's crazy - as bad as the old Windows installs with vbox. However that being said, if that is still the case, they must have a wrapper on top of it since I didn't notice much of a difference at al

I think security was also a big issue. Seems they've made some strides in that department, and now Chrome is the most targeted browser for 0-days. That'll change once Edge takes the remaining IE user market share and they do a Win

As a contractor, I'm OK with companies that want me to work 100 hour weeks. If I get a 3-month contract, that year I'm only working 3 months.

I've recently bought a Thinkpad 13 (base model & QHD screen) and manually upgraded RAM to 32GB. All-in-all <$1000 with a 1920x1080 IPS screen. Battery life isn't great (6 hrs) however everything else is.
