I really wish we put guard rails in the form of fines and damages to prevent people from exposing private or sensitive data. Handing people who have no idea about security or sensitivity of data the keys to the kingdom is like handing a tod

People celebrating Spotify don’t realise that they’ve selectively gone through Rogans more spicy episodes historically and removed on edited them. This is business.

Unfortunately I doubt support for common applications and frameworks will continue for IoT. It’s annoying enough trying to game, although you can. After 5 years I expect enough customisation and features/fixes available for Windows 11

Write a blog post with specifics, publish, send it to your account manager, hope they give you a steep discount or some path to minimize data usage. Things like audit logs, and field-specific settings can make a huge impact on overall usage

If you work with government, the SLA's are so tight that this will never be feasible. Large SaaS and infrastructure providers consistently game uptime metrics to reduce breach related refunds and compensation. For one major provider I

The reason the stuff lasts so long is it's chemically gone from cellulose/wood fiber to acetate. There's a lot of issues with using it aside from expense; anything touching it will be impacted by the acidity of the wood, so y

Collins hasn't done anything except management and policy for the last 30 years. The closest he's gotten to science is writing books I'd put in the autobiography or philosophy section and tag it "theistic evolution"

I'd choose an app marketed as being for kids by a major company than one that isn't. Messenger Kids is 100% being used to "capture the next generation", but at least the controls are built with their safety in mind and i

Messenger Kids is really good for this: https://messengerkids.com/ It's made by a gross company, but they have ridiculously tight access controls.

If you're not a founder or hold a sizable stake in the company, it doesn't matter and anyone at the company telling you different are lying to you. You're expendable. That relationship in the current market goes both ways. Ho

Slack is specifically non-video, heck, the Slack sales and product people I've video conferenced with were over Zoom (which they chose). I don't think this is relevant until they integrate that functionality.
